Proposed Staffing Reductions in ASE Program

The board focused on the underperforming ASE program, which was a significant net loss. After discussion, the board agreed that Kristi should make staffing reductions in this program, either by laying off one employee or reducing two employees to part-time, in order to cut costs. Kristi was given discretion to determine the best approach, with the understanding that the board supports these necessary cuts.

Opportunities for Revenue Growth

Despite the financial pressures, Kristi outlined several positive developments, including the launch of hybrid group therapy sessions across locations, the addition of new anger management and parenting programs, and several pending grant applications. The board expressed optimism about these initiatives and their potential to generate additional revenue. Kristi was encouraged to continue pursuing these opportunities.

Ongoing Monitoring and Restructuring

The board acknowledged that more work is needed to get the company’s finances on stable footing. They agreed that Kristi should continue analyzing each program and department to identify further opportunities for cost savings, including reviewing driver schedules and responsibilities. The board committed to staying closely involved and supporting Kristi in making the necessary changes, with the goal of ensuring the company’s short-term survival and long-term sustainability.
